NDFALA’s Weekly Legislative Update

The following is a message from our sister organization, North Dakota Family Alliance Legislative Action.

Dear Friends,

This is the first of what will be weekly updates on what’s happening in the halls of Bismarck during this legislative session. These emails will be very succinct, so that we provide the most information possible in an efficient manner.

Last week: We testified against a resolution that would support legalized sports betting (HCR 3002), in favor of bills that would help those with gambling addictions (HB 1114, SB 2077), and in support of requirements that birth certificates indicate only the biological sex – male or female – and not a gender or “undefined” status, as some states allow (HB 1139).

This coming week: The following bills are coming up next week. Note that we will try to get these alerts to you as soon as possible, but understand that many activities (e.g., identification of key bills, publishing of public hearing notifications, discussions with partners, decisions on bill positions) must all occur before we can provide you with accurate information on bills. There is a link in the last column that will take you to the bill page where you can read the text of the bill, get more details on hearings, submit testimony, and more.
