House Bill 1249/Girls’ Fairness in Sports
Background
HB 1249 will ensure that K-12 students in school-sponsored sports will only have to compete against students of the same biological sex.
For example, this bill would ensure that biological females would only have to compete against other biological females, and not against biological males with a clear physical advantage who identify as a female.

Why is this important?
The problem with the social agenda issue surrounding this topic is that it takes away 50 years of antidiscrimination law against girls. It seeks to discriminate against girls in the name of “social justice.”
This bill will keep the playing field level for girls’ sports.
