Policy Analyst

Jacob Thomsen has served as Policy Analyst at North Dakota Family Alliance since 2022 and was a key contributor to the organization’s many wins during the 2023 legislative session. Prior to his role at NDFA, Jacob worked in the retail field while attending the University of Mary.

Through his formal education and work experience, Jacob has been able to hone his research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills, which are all critical elements of his role at NDFA.

Jacob was born in Fargo and raised in Thompson, North Dakota, along with his three brothers. He graduated from the University of Mary with a B.A. in Politics and a minor in Criminal Justice. While attending the University of Mary, he also played on the football team.

Jacob is incredibly excited to serve the people of North Dakota. He loves the state and the people in it and is excited to represent the Christian values that make North Dakota great.
